Finishing
There are various materials used for finishing the concrete swimming pools:
mosaic,
vitro-ceramic, colored
crystal plates,
liner or
reinforced membrane that copies the mosaic.
Tile in with vitro-ceramic mosaic represents the authentically variant of the swimming pools with the personalized design, the rich imagination of the producers of these materials grants originality to the work.
In an area ranging from colors that suggest the crystal clearness of the Southern seas until floral and animal motifs, blazons or true underwater landscapes (exotic fish, corals, mermaids), these finishes can turn the swimming pool into a true masterpiece.
Among the practical advantages of tile in with vitro-ceramic we have to mention: durability, water-tightness, freeze, chemical agents and UV ray resistance and last but not least the fact that these materials can be easily applied on curvy surfaces, due to the small sizes of the plates.
The special sandstone for swimming pools is another material recommended for the big size swimming pools (public, Olympic).
Another material meant for the swimming pool finishing is the liner or the reinforced membrane that moulds on the entire surface of the pool. It can be set up quickly and aesthetically speaking, it copies the classic patterns of the mosaic, including the friezes.
Usually pieces of special profile -
margins - of concrete or composite stone are used for the borders of the pool.
Natural stone or processed wood represent another variant for executing the border and the foreshore around the swimming pool.
